Really close to buying this

Not sure if Jane would let me hang it on the wall though.

It would look nice next to my Flight Of The Conchords tour poster.

School of Seven Bells – “Half Asleep”

February 25, 2010

Been listening to a lot of School of Seven Bells lately. I find it almost hypnotic.

I want to like the idea of a TMNT backpack, but no

Plus this guys looks WAY too like Andy Samberg for it to not feel like a joke.

There’s hope for Superman yet

February 25, 2010

David S. Goyer, co-writer of The Dark Knight, will revamp Superman with a new film called The Man Of Steel. Can he do for Supes what he and the Nolans did for Batman? Spoilers ahead. Update: It’s confirmed!

So we have Goyer and Nolan working on Batman AND Superman. Good, but you just know the studio is going to want them to do it “dark,” which just won’t work for Superman, especially if they have any hope for a Batman/Superman movie.

The whole reason that dichotomy worked is because, while they had the same goals, they went about it opposite ways, to the point were they we at odds with each other.

The only way two dark superheros would be at odds with each other is if they fought over who’s edgier.

Hey man, Anthony Bourdain has kids too

February 23, 2010

I love that some how he still comes off like Tony.

Especially with that look at the end where he looks into the camera as if to say, “Yeah, I know.”

The Star Wars Galaxy 5 trading card set is finally on sale this week. Here are the 2 other pieces I drew for my Imperial Propaganda set, following the Enlist Today poster I put up earlier. I%u2019d love to revisit this idea from the Rebel point of view, too. Maybe next time?

Would have been better if it was a force choke, but still great.

F.lux: software to dim your screen as the sun goes down

February 23, 2010

Ever notice how people texting at night have that eerie blue glow?

Or wake up ready to write down the Next Great Idea, and get blinded by your computer screen?

During the day, computer screens look good—they’re designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn’t be looking at the sun

It looks odd, until you turn it off and you realize how much your monitor is blinding you.
